Cooper Brown

Jazz, Leaps & Turns

Born and raised in Kansas City, Cooper Brown, is a versatile dancer trained in jazz, contemporary, ballet, hip hop, modern, pointe, musical theater, and jazz funk.

Cooper's passion for dance ignited at the tender age of 2, when she first watched her sister's tap class from the sidelines, mimicking the dancers' movements. Just a week later, she joined the class, and her love for dance quickly flourished. In her senior year, her self-choreographed solo at Revolution Talent earned her a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School. After completing her freshman year at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, she utilized this scholarship to join Joffrey Ballet School’s Year-Round Pre-Professional Trainee Program in Dallas, Texas. Under the guidance of Kaili Bright and Jan Dijkwel, Cooper trained in the Jazz & Contemporary track, performing live in various styles and dedicating 35 hours a week to her craft.

Beyond her training, Cooper has showcased her talents on various platforms. She appeared in a live taping of the Business of Dance Podcast with Menina Fortunato and Aliya Janell, and participated in a video shoot with influencer Justin Corbo at FD Photo Studio in Los Angeles. Her performance credits include the summer show Grand Carnivale at Worlds of Fun, where she danced in parades and main stage performances, as well as a Beatslaya and Chalice music video choreographed by Swoop.

Since choreographing her senior solo, she has been teaching ballet, jazz, technique, and other styles locally, sharing her expertise with young dancers. Cooper is also committed to her academic pursuits, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics from Southern New Hampshire University in Fall 2024.
