Charlotte Kelley

Ballet, Pointe, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)

Charlotte Kelley is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. She received her training at The Raleigh School of Ballet under Mary LeGere, Rebecca van Dorsten, Susan Galdy, and Margot Martin. While at The Raleigh School of Ballet, she performed with the school’s affiliate performance company Raleigh Dance Theatre in Paquita, Swan Lake Act II, Sleeping Beauty Prologue and Act III, Les Sylphides, along with original choreography by Mary LeGere, Leslie Jane Pessemier Laura Dean, Susan Galdy, and Pablo Perez. In addition to her time spent performing with Raleigh Dance Theatre, Charlotte had the opportunity to perform with Robert Weiss’ Carolina Ballet, one North Carolina and America’s premier professional ballet companies, in roles in Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, and the Nutcracker. Before attending the University of Utah, Charlotte spent several summers at The Rock School for Dance Education, Boston Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, The Washington School of Ballet, and Carolina Ballet. 

Charlotte moved to Salt Lake in 2011 to pursue degrees in Ballet and Exercise Sport Science where she graduated with a BFA and BS, respectively. While at the University of Utah, Charlotte choreographed numerous pieces for the Ballet Department’s Ballet Showcase, a student choreographed and produced show occurring each semester. After graduating from the University of Utah, Charlotte has taught throughout the Salt Lake valley including in the Musical Theatre Program at the University of Utah. She is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and enjoys helping dancers build their ballet technique.
